Mordenmiss Women's New Turtle Neckline Two Layers Hi-Low Hem Dress
I had my eye on this dress for a while and finally decided to take a chance on it even though it's more money than I usually spend on myself. I look absolutely nothing like a slim Asian model, so I worried that this dress would make me look like I was either pregnant or wearing a tent, but my husband assured me that neither of those things was true. I wore it with leggings and ankle boots and a thin cami on a breezy 50 degree day of shopping, and I was perfectly comfortable whether outside walking or inside heated shops. The layers of knitted and woven material block the wind but the loose swing of the dress allows for air flow. The pockets are darling and functional, and the ruffled skirt is precious without being childish. The stand-up neckline is soft, and the empire waist seam has a downward curve to it that gives a suggestion of a waistline even though the dress isn't at all fitted, which I think is what really makes the dress work.
