I achieved the draping behavior of the fabric as seen on the model in the photo. However I will tailor it under the arm area, under what is called the armcye. I order larger because I can tailor but I can't add fabric that I don't have which would be the only recourse if the item was too small. Another reason I order larger is because most of the time the designers in China seem to think they are dressing a person that is built like a leopard, thin and slim. Instead, comparatively speaking, Americans are often built like lions, with a much larger more powerful musculature even in compact form on the ladies, even on many ladies that are not overweight. I ordered a 5x. My normal size is a 1x or a 2x. I might experiment and order a 4x next time but this 5x has wonderful drape and the length and looseness of the sleeves matches the model in the photo. I wonder if she also is wearing a size much larger than her normal size.
